Performing yoga complex on #yogawall

Before doing any asana on the wall think over the succession of the entire yoga complex that you have planned to practice, every detail of entering, going through and exiting asana. If you have any problems, consult the instructor or ask another practitioner to watch over you.

Complication on #yogawall

Complication is needed especially during regular practice since the effect of exercises on the nervous system is significantly determined by the fact that a person goes be-yond habitual motion stereotypes in the process of their performance.

Sagging is the least traumatic asana

Sagging is the least traumatic asana, however it is better to perform it slowly, listening to the sensations in one’s body. Slow extension activates nerve receptors of joints and ligaments adapting the body to this type of activity.

#YogaWall Dynamic exercises

Yoga Wall proved to be a very promising method of strengthening the ves-tibular system. Dynamic exercises on the ropes help one travel into a new per-ception of reality where arms and legs don’t contact the ground so that one gets a new type of the bodily spatial sensation, becomes conscious of its size, dimensions and proportions.

auxiliary devices on #yogawall

There are a lot of auxiliary devices are also used in the yoga tradition. They are first of all the traditional “pash” rope, «yoga-patta» straps, pillows, sticks, some pole or tree branches that may serve as the basis for rather exotic inverted poses.

Dariia Antonenko, UFY instructor, on #yogawall

My first introduction to the idea of Yoga Wall practice dates back to 2013: they were launching a Yoga studio in Donetsk and I was helping Dmitry Danilov with ropes preparation.  There, on the floor of a spacious studio, we were measuring the ropes out, cutting them and edging. And arranging the received pieces in rows by their length, as if drying the noodles)). I used the very first ropes fixed on the wall to get on it. Tried to do a couple of asanas – this appeared to be very interesting and much fun. This practice gave me many new feelings. On the one hand this method may serve as a preparation for performance of more challenging asanas. As an experienced practitioner, I use Yoga Wall as an enhancer of many exercises. Besides, the practice of Yoga Wall is very exciting and gives many opportunities for experiments. This is an essential and very interesting somatic experience that every practitioner should get.

Safety of #yogawall exercises

Yoga Wall facilitates performance of complicated asanas by the elderly since this practice allows involvement of the body biological and energetic mechanisms without overloading. It is only next to the wall, in the inverted position accompanied by active full yoga breath that one can completely relax and have the load taken off the spine. This ensures total safety of asanas performance.
