In the
complex structure of traditional hatha-yoga we can single out dynamic exercises – vinyasas, and static poses – asanas. Nevertheless all asanas are more or less
dynamic: even in poses that seem static a yogi continues to twist the spine,
stretch out the channels, breathe pranayamas and stretch on doing micro
movements even in the terminal positions, focus his gaze at certain points
(drishti) and in some cases keep bandhas muscle locks.
